Why did Casey let the team go?

     The Mudville nine had only one more inning to go. But they were losing the game.

    

         The team has one more chance to win. After a few players go in the game and get strikes out. They try and solve the problem by putting Casey the almighty up to bat. Casey is the best player on their team. The fans in the stands and he’s teammates are all counting on Casey to win the game. Casey walks up to bat…

       

        The pressure is on Casey has one more chance. Everyone is expecting for Casey to hit a homerun. Casey is ready and the pitcher throws the first ball and Casey lets the ball fly rite past him. The pitcher throws the second ball; once again Casey lets the ball fly past him.  He now has two strikes. Everyone is not happy for how the game is ending. Casey has one more chance to hit the ball. The pitcher throws the ball, Casey strikes out. 

    

       That was the end of the game; Casey did not end the game as expected from everyone. The almighty Casey is no longer almighty. Casey upset a lot of friends and fans. His peer’s and fans did not like the outcome of the game. How could Casey let the team down?

      The game ended four to two with Casey’s team only with two.

    Author note: This is about a young man who no longer can be free, but now has big responsibilities. Now he can barley do the things he wanted to do in life instead he has to take care of his brother.

    Everyone starts out innocent. But you won’t be innocent forever.

   

    Loss of innocence means “when a child is exposed to the harsh realities of the world, and it is not as perfect as he or she perceived it to be. Loss of innocence relates to mostly all the greasers, but if you noticed as you read the book it points more toward Darry. When Darry’s parents died in a terrible accident, Ponyboy, Soda-pop and Darry where going to be split apart from each other. The only way they could stay together was if they had somebody that would take Ponyboy and Soda in. Darry took his brothers in when he was 20 yr. old. Once he took them in he got very big parental responsibilities. He stopped doing football; he gave up college, even though that is what he always wanted to do. Darry had to get to jobs to be able to keep the house they were living in and feed Ponyboy and Soda and put clothes on their back. Darry had to make sure that Ponyboy and Soda stayed out of trouble. He also made sure that Ponyboy does well in school with his grades. When Darry went to high school he was well known. He was in multiple activates. He played sports in school. Darry was very popular in school. He was also a nice person, he treated other with respect. 

 

    Darry lost his innocence when his parents died; he was only 20 years old.

Why gas prices shouldn’t be so high

     I am writing to convince the oil companies that they should lower gas prices.

My reasons are homes, food, and schools.

   

   People spend more than they need, to get around town.  For instants the more and more people spend on gas the less money they will have to get a house to live in. When gas prices rise it makes people determine whether they can or cannot afford to turn up there thermostats. It will also cost more to keep homes warm in the winter time. Gas prices causes people not to travel but to stay at their homes so they can pay their gas bill.

  People don’t buy much food because they can’t afford it. Some people don’t have money at all to buy food, because they put most their money on gas bills.  Most people will try and formulate their budget to buy food. When fuel prices go up the cost of food also goes up. It starts to cost more to transport the food. I noticed that one reason why gas cost lots of money is because gas stations are going against their components.

   

  The consequences for gas prices are making people have less money to pay for school. Also the more gas cost the more school will cost. It will cost more because the school uses lots of gas during the day, which that is added into the student’s school fees. Most students don’t have a lot of money to pay for school fees let alone their home gas prices and help pay for the school gas prices.

  The more and more money people spend on gas the less they will have to spend on other thing they need in their life. This proves that the gas companies should lower the price in gas.
